Top of the 1st Inning: Braves Set the Tone Early
What a start! The Braves jumped on the Giants right from the get-go. After Jorge Soler and Austin Riley were both hit by pitches, Marcell Ozuna struck out. But then, Matt Olson walked, loading the bases. Orlando Arcia earned a walk too, bringing Soler home. Then, the big moment: Michael Harris II smashed a 423-foot homer to right, scoring Riley, Olson, and Arcia. By the end of the inning, we were up 5-0!Bottom of the 1st Inning: Giants Strike Back
The Giants didn't go down quietly. Tyler Fitzgerald hit a solo homer to left, making it 5-1. But that was all they could muster as Fitzgerald rounded the bases. Our defense held strong and got out of the inning without further damage.
3rd Inning: Olson and Riley Continue to Shine
In the top of the 3rd, Matt Olson hit a solo homer to left center, extending our lead to 6-1. Then, in the 5th inning, Austin Riley joined the fun with a solo shot of his own to left. The Braves were up 7-1 and feeling great!
6th Inning: More Runs Pour In
Ramon Laureano walked, and Whit Merrifield singled to set the stage. Then, pinch-hitter Jarred Kelenic doubled to right, driving in two more runs. By the end of the inning, the Braves were riding high with a 9-1 lead.8th Inning: Murphy Delivers the Knockout Punch
In the 8th, Sean Murphy hit a 406-foot two-run homer to left, bringing home Laureano. The Braves were unstoppable, now leading 11-2.9th Inning: Finishing Strong
We didn't let up in the 9th. Ozuna walked, Olson singled, and Arcia walked to load the bases. Michael Harris II grounded out, but scored Ozuna in the process. A single from Laureano brought home Olson. By the end of our half, it was 13-2.Bottom of the 9th Inning: Closing It Out
Pitcher Herget kept his cool and dismissed Brett Wisely, Grant McCray, and Fitzgerald to seal the deal. What a resounding victory! The final score was 13-2 in favor of our Braves.
What an impressive showing from our Atlanta Braves! On to the next one, Braves Country!
