Heartbreaking Defeat at Home
Well, Nats fans, it was a tough one to watch today. Getting shut out at home is never easy, and this game against the Braves hurt from start to finish. Final score: 12-0 Braves.Pitching Struggles
Our pitchers just couldn't find their groove tonight. MacKenzie Gore started us off but got into trouble in the 3rd inning, giving up 4 runs. Things didn’t get much better from there, with Gore replaced in the 4th by Cory Abbott and in the 5th by Joe La Sorsa. Unfortunately, all of our relievers struggled to contain the Braves’ bats.Offense Comes Up Short
The bats were cold tonight. Despite a promising start with James Wood doubling in the 1st inning, the Nats couldn’t bring him home. Our best chances came in the 1st and 4th innings when we had runners in scoring position but failed to capitalize. Luis Garcia Jr., CJ Abrams, and Joey Gallo couldn't come through when we needed it most.Braves’ Dominance
Credit where it's due—the Braves were relentless. Michael Harris II was a pest, hitting two homers, including a massive 414-footer in the 9th. Matt Olson and Ramon Laureano delivered key RBIs to keep the pressure on us.Looking Ahead
It's one of those games where nothing seemed to go our way. But as they say, there's always the next game. Let's regroup, refocus, and come back stronger. Until then, keep the faith, Nats fans!Player Highlights
A few bright spots in the loss:- James Wood started strong with a double.
- Andres Chaparro managed to get on base with a HBP and a walk.
Stay strong, Nationals fans! We’ll bounce back!
