A Rough Night for the O's
Well, Orioles fans, this was a tough pill to swallow. We traveled to Fenway Park hopeful and full of energy, hoping our boys could tackle the Red Sox. Unfortunately, the game ended with a disappointing 19-5 loss. Although we started strong, things quickly took a turn for the worst.

Early Promise
The first inning was promising with Gunnar Henderson doubling to center and even stealing third base, igniting some hope in us fans. The third inning saw Jackson Holliday bringing in Heston Kjerstad to open our scoring. Adley Rutschman followed suit, grounding out but allowing Jorge Mateo to score. 2-0! Things were looking bright.

The Collapse
Our pitchers held the Red Sox scoreless through the first three innings, but everything went sideways in the 6th inning. Errors, a homer from Rafael Devers, and a combination of Red Sox hits led to a stunning 5-run inning, putting the Red Sox ahead 6-2.

Floodgates Opened
The bottom of the 8th was devastating. Our bullpen struggled, with the Sox scoring an unbelievable 13 runs. Devers homered again, accompanied by contributions from Rob Refsnyder and others that sealed our fate. It was hard to watch. This brought the Sox's total to 19 runs, overshadowing our brief comeback.
Consolation Runs
We managed to push across a couple of runs in the top of the 9th, with Holliday and Rutschman reaching home. Ryan Mountcastle's sacrifice fly added another, but it was too little, too late.

Looking Ahead
Despite today's disappointing outcome, let's keep our heads held high, Birdland. We know the potential of our squad. Let's support our team as they regroup and aim to bounce back stronger! Go O's!
