Victory at Fenway!
It's always thrilling to beat the Red Sox, especially at Fenway Park! The Orioles showed great performance tonight, taking down Boston with a convincing 5-1 win. Dylan Carlson provided a spark early on with a solo homer to right field in the 5th inning, giving us the lead we never relinquished. And if that's not enough—Ryan O'Hearn added to the excitement with a spectacular homer in the 6th.
Dynamic Plays and Dominant Pitching
Our boys in orange and black wasted no time on defense either! Gunnar Henderson, ever the reliable shortstop, performed well on both defense and offense—he nabbed a crucial walk in the 8th inning that led to an interesting scoring sequence thanks to Red Sox errors, scoring himself and Ryan O'Hearn for two additional runs! Not to mention Mullins anchoring center field with stellar defensive plays. Our pitchers combined efforts perfectly. Dean Kremer and the bullpen kept the Sox off the scoreboard for most of the game, only surrendering a lone run in the 9th inning thanks to Kyle Kittredge sealing the deal.Key Moments
Ramon Urías was consistent with a key sacrifice fly in the 4th that put Henderson across home plate for our first score, setting the pace for the rest of the game. Hats off to our bullpen who brought intensity and kept Boston's lineup in check with pristine pitching changes at critical moments. And how about that dynamic running from O’Hearn? A double that not only scored Henderson but also turned chaotic for the Sox defense—tailor-making his way from second to home on wild throws.
A great win, Orioles fans! On to the next one as we continue our charge in the AL. Keep flying high, Birds!
