Thrilling Comeback Victory!

Fellow Orioles fans, let's rejoice in what was an absolutely thrilling comeback victory over the Chicago Cubs! The game started off with some missed opportunities and a few struggles, but our boys didn't give up and made sure those late innings were packed with excitement. Early Innings Struggles
Both teams had a rocky start, but the Cubs managed to put some runs on the board early. In the second inning, they took a 2-0 lead with Ian Happ scoring on a ground-rule double by Nico Hoerner, followed by Willi Castro crossing home on a sacrifice fly by Reese McGuire. The Cubs added another run in the fourth inning when Castro tripled and scored on a single by Hoerner, making it 3-0. Our O's were finding it tough against the Cubs’ pitchers, staying scoreless through the first six innings.Breathtaking Eighth Inning! 
Things looked bleak until the top of the 8th! Kudos to Colton Cowser for leading off with a walk, followed by a single from Jeremiah Jackson. Terrin Vavra lined out, but then came the heart-racing moment — Jackson Holliday reached on a fielder's choice, putting runners on the corners. Jordan Westburg came through with a clutch single to right, bringing Cowser home. And then, what a moment! Gunnar Henderson hit a monstrous three-run homer, sending the ball flying 416 feet to right-center and putting the Orioles up 4-3. That was something special! 
Closing It Out
With the lead in our hands, the bullpen locked it down. Bryan Baker and Dillon Tate did their part, but the real heroics came from Keegan Akin who retired the side despite allowing a couple of walks in the ninth. Sending those Cubs fans back to their seats in silence was a sight to behold.
What a display of Orioles pride and resilience! Let's keep this momentum flying high. Congratulations, Gunnar Henderson & team, for pulling off a memorable victory at Wrigley!
