What a Game, Tigers!
Boy, oh boy, what a thrilling game it was at Comerica Park! The Detroit Tigers managed to hold off the Baltimore Orioles with a 4-3 victory
. It wasn't an easy win, but our boys showed resilience and determination to bag this one.Second Inning Spark
In the bottom of the second, things started to heat up for the Tigers. After Dillon Dingler paved the way for a score, Trey Sweeney reached third base, and Javier Báez delivered a crucial double to center, bringing Dingler home
. Then, Gleyber Torres knocked out a sacrifice fly, allowing Sweeney to score. That inning set the tone with Tigers up at 2-0.Holding Our Own
Fast forward to the 5th, and we saw Zach McKinstry hustle his way on base and eventually score, thanks to Jace Jung's solid single to center. By the time Spencer Torkelson belted a beautiful homer to right center, it felt like the momentum stayed on our side!
It was smooth sailing till the Orioles closed in with Ramon Urias's homer in the 8th. But our bullpen did the job! Hats off to the Tigers' pitchers in the last innings who kept their composure under pressure.Closing It Out
Into the 9th, our Tigers didn't let up any chances. With consistent defense and efficient pitching, they sealed the deal. Three quick outs, courtesy of Mullins, Gunnar Henderson, and Jordan Westburg, were the perfect end to an intense game. We tip our hats and wave our rally towels to our Tigers team!
