Big Win for the Astros! 
What a night at Minute Maid Park! Our Houston Astros took down the Baltimore Orioles with a final score of 5-1. The team showed stellar performance both on the mound and at the plate. Let’s break it down:
Early Game Action 
The game started off with some tension. The Orioles' Gunnar Henderson walked but soon got caught stealing. Our defense was solid, and Jose Altuve and the rest of the boys kept things locked down. The second inning saw Yainer Diaz tripling to right, which was followed by a sac fly from Mauricio Dubón bringing him in to score. That quickly evened things up at 1-1.
Offensive Surge 
The third inning brought the noise! Chas McCormick singled to center, and after Altuve struck out, he stole second. Then, the moment of the game: Yordan Alvarez launched a two-run homer to center, driving in McCormick and making it 3-1. The ball went a massive 420 feet! This was the momentum shift we needed.
The fifth inning was more fireworks. McCormick came through again with a home run to left, making it 4-1. The lead was solidified, and we never looked back.
Locking It Down 
Our pitching staff did an incredible job throughout the night. Even when Cedric Mullins managed to reach third in the seventh inning, our bullpen, like a steel trap, didn’t allow any more runs. Ryan Pressly relieved Ronel Blanco in the 8th and was lights-out, followed by Josh Hader closing the game in the 9th with two strikeouts to shut the door on the Orioles.
Final Touches 
In the bottom of the 8th, McCormick added another solo shot to right, his second homer of the game, making it 5-1 and putting the final nail in the coffin for Baltimore. Every Astro was sharp tonight, from our infielders like Alex Bregman and Jeremy Peña to our outfielders and pitchers. Each player did their part, and it was truly a team effort.
