Angels' Fighting Start
Although it ended in disappointment, our Angels began the game with some promising moves!
In the bottom of the 1st inning, Jorge Soler got us on the board with a sharp single to center. It was Taylor Ward who followed up with a crucial double, bringing Soler home and tying the game at 1-1. Next, Logan O'Hoppe contributed with a secure single to center, allowing Ward to score and granting us a lead of 2-1.

Our bats cooled down in the middle innings as we were unable to add to our score. The Orioles managed to climb back into the game due to some unfortunate errors and timely hitting from their lineup. Yoan Moncada's fielding error in the 5th inning opened the door for Baltimore, allowing them to tie the game. It lingered at 2-3 after some solid pitching but unfortunately, their 6th inning spurt, capped by a homer from Henderson, pushed the score to 7-2.A Flicker of Hope at the End
In the 9th inning, Matthew Lugo got his moment to shine. Pinch-hitting for Jo Adell, Lugo launched a spectacular 421-foot homer to left field!
It was a thrilling way to punctuate his appearance and remind everyone of our team's potential. Despite our 7-3 loss, it was moments like these that kept our spirits hopeful. Here's to even more big future moments for the Angels!
