A Difficult Day in Minnesota

Well, fellow Orioles fans, it was a tough one today as the Baltimore Orioles took on the Minnesota Twins. Although the final score of 5-2 in favor of the Twins wasn't what we hoped for, the game did have its exciting moments — especially from our own Ramon Laureano, who got us a head start with a powerful homer to center field in the top of the 3rd inning, giving us an early lead. 🎉

Key Moments

The bottom of the 3rd inning didn't go our way, as Byron Buxton hit a home run that brought in three runs and put the Twins ahead 3-1. Our offense tried to claw back, and in the top of the 5th, Heston Kjerstad singled in another run to narrow the deficit to 3-2. Fortunately, Cedric Mullins had a tough day at the plate, but we know he’ll bounce back stronger in the next game. 💪

Closing It Out

Despite our efforts, the Twins secured their win with a seventh-inning homer, adding two runs to their tally. Harrison Bader delivered the final blow with his own homer. While the Orioles rallied and fought hard — getting runners on base in critical innings — the Twins’ bullpen held us off, even as we faced Jhoan Duran in the 9th inning. Our lineup couldn't find its footing against him, and he closed the game with three strikeouts. ⚾

Despite the loss, it's always great seeing our guys out there giving it their all. Onto the next one, O's fans! Let's show that unyielding Baltimore spirit! 🧡🖤
