What a fantastic game, Orioles fans!
Beating the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium is always satisfying, and today's 5-3 victory was no exception. We started strong with a two-run single from Gary Sanchez in the 1st inning, setting the tone for what turned out to be a thrilling matchup.Key Plays and Standouts
In the 6th inning, we tied it up thanks to a clutch RBI single from Coby Mayo bringing in Colton Cowser. But the major highlight was Ramon Urías smashing a homer to right in the 8th inning, giving us the lead we wouldn’t relinquish. Kudos to Gunnar Henderson for coming off the bench with a crucial RBI single, pushing our lead further.
Shutting Down the Yankees
Our pitching crew did a stellar job containing the Yankee bats. After Aaron Judge briefly tilted the score with a solo homer, our bullpen locked it down. Particularly, Yennier Cano and Johnny Bautista were phenomenal in relief, silencing any Yankee uprising. The defense, backed by Ryan O'Hearn at first and Henderson making crucial plays at shortstop in the latter innings, was unfaltering.
It's always great to see the team pulling together, showcasing depth, talent, and poise under pressure.
