Orioles Start Off with a Bang

What an exciting night for us Orioles fans! 🎉 The game got off to a thrilling start in the top of the 1st inning with Jeremiah Jackson sending a powerful home run to left field, covering 372 feet! That immediately put us on the board, 1-0. Although we had opportunities to add more with Gunnar Henderson and Colton Cowser getting hit by pitches, we couldn't quite capitalize as Emmanuel Rivera struck out looking with the bases loaded. But hey, we were in the lead, and it felt great! 😎

Steady Performance and Growing Lead

As the game progressed, our team kept its foot on the gas. In the 3rd inning, Ryan Mountcastle and Colton Cowser both singled, setting the stage for Emmanuel Rivera's 2-run single! That brought our lead to 3-0. In the bottom of the 3rd, the Padres managed to close the gap with a 2-run homer by Luis Arraez, but our Orioles showed resilience! In the 5th inning, a couple of solid plays by Emmanuel Rivera ensured two more runs as Gunnar Henderson and Mountcastle both scored, extending our advantage to 5-2.

Closing It Out with Grit

Moving into the later innings, our bullpen locked down the Padres, preventing any further runs. In the 8th inning, Jeremiah Jackson grounded out, allowing Dylan Beavers to score, giving us a final tally of 6-2. Our pitchers showed impressive composure, especially as the Padres tried to mount a comeback with loaded bases in the 7th. Kudos to Yennier Cano for coming in and getting the job done! It's always satisfying to see the team come together and secure such a strong win away from home. Let's go, Os! 🧡⚾💪
