Tough Day at the Park for the Mariners

Hey Mariners fans, today was a tough outing for our beloved M's as they took on the Baltimore Orioles and fell 5-1. We were hoping for a strong comeback, especially after the fantastic energy from our win yesterday, but unfortunately, the fight fell short today. Rowdy Tellez stood out with a solo blast in the 2nd inning, launching the ball out to right field for a monstrous 404 feet, tying the game briefly at 1-1. This was a momentary highlight, as the rest of the Mariners' lineup struggled to get on base and secure those crucial runs. 😔

Orioles' Offense Proved Strong

The Orioles started aggressive, taking an early lead in the first inning with a sacrifice fly by Ramon Urias that brought in Adley Rutschman. Our defense managed to contain them for a bit, but disaster struck in the 5th inning as Ryan O'Hearn singled to bring in another run, making it 2-1 in their favor. The 6th inning saw yet another home run, this time by Colton Cowser, which deepened the scoreline to 3-1. The final nail in the coffin for us was the 9th inning when Heston Kjerstad and Jackson Holliday delivered the final blows. Not the kind of afternoon we wanted at T-Mobile Park with cold bats and missed opportunities to drive in baserunners.

What's Next

Our boys, led by Julio Rodríguez and Cal Raleigh, will need to regroup and regain that competitive spark. As we look forward to a fresh matchup, let’s continue rallying behind our Mariners. Laying low isn’t an option in this league, and we know they’ll be out for redemption in the next game. Let's keep our heads up, Mariners fans! 💙⚾
