Tight Game with Heart-Stopping Moments!
Hey Mariners fans!
What an intense game we had against the Baltimore Orioles! It was a back-and-forth battle, but unfortunately, we fell just shy with a final score of 3-2 in favor of the Orioles.Early Lead and Tension
The game started off as a tense pitching duel with both teams putting zeroes on the board until the bottom of the 4th inning. Our man, Julio Rodríguez, was electric, reaching on an infield single and later hustling to help us score. Thanks to Randy Arozarena’s sacrifice fly, and Cal Raleigh's earlier ground rule double, we took the lead, 1-0!
Comeback and Drama
Adley Rutschman of the Orioles hit a solo shot in the 6th, but the Mariners immediately bounced back! Williamson's grit getting hit by pitch, setting the stage for Cal Raleigh to push us ahead to 2-1 after he singled to left. However, Heston Kjerstad turned things around for Baltimore in the 7th with a two-run triple. Our boys kept it tight, but the Orioles held their ground.Missed Opportunities
Despite having runners on base in the final inning, including Miles Mastrobuoni with some late-inning speed, we couldn't quite reel it back in. Props to the team for fighting till the end though! We remain proud of our Mariners and can’t wait to see them back on the field taking the fight to the next opponents. Let’s keep the spirit high, Seattle! Go Mariners!
