A Tough Day at Tropicana Field
Today wasn't our day, fellow Rays fans.
Early Hopes Dashed
We kicked off with Josh Lowe drawing a walk in the 1st inning but unfortunately, the momentum didn't carry us far as a double play followed. Orioles took an early lead in the 2nd inning when Ramon Laureano let Jordan Westburg score. However, we briefly tied the game in the 4th when Junior Caminero singled to right, allowing Brandon Lowe to cross the plate.

Orioles' Power & Rays' Struggles
The 5th inning saw Colton Cowser hit a homer to right center, putting the Orioles ahead. The visitors extended their lead with Laureano again in the 6th and Gunnar Henderson in the 7th. Our Rays had chances but couldn't manage to convert these into runs, leaving us chasing shadows. In the 7th inning, despite Jake Mangum trying to spark a comeback with a single to right, Danny Jansen and others couldn't follow through with hits. The game went further out of reach when Baltimore added another run in the 9th courtesy of Jackson Holliday.
A Day to Forget
Although we rallied and fought hard, the bats were silent when needed most. Our pitchers gave it their all, but some crucial hits from the opposition made the difference. Our defense did show glimpse of tenacity but alas, today was Baltimore's day on the field.Fingers crossed for the next game, Rays fans! Let's keep the faith.
