A Tough Night in Toronto
Fellow Orioles fans, last night's game against the Blue Jays was a tough pill to swallow
Early Promise
Things started slow. In the top of the 3rd inning, Jackson Holliday brought in some hope with a massive 425-foot shot to center field! What a homer it was
The Jays Find Their Swing
But by the bottom of the 4th, the Blue Jays swiftly turned things around. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and his teammates capitalized on opportunities, tying the game 2-2 and then pulling ahead. The fourth inning soon came to an end with a 5-2 lead for Toronto, and they never looked back from there. We had some defensive errors and the Jays capitalized effectively, which expanded their lead.Missed Opportunities
Despite our early promise, their pitching staff managed to quiet our bats for much of the remainder of the game. In the 9th inning, Adley Rutschman and Cedric Mullins gave us hope by getting on base, but Ryan Mountcastle struck out swinging, ending the game for us without any further runs scored.Looking Forward
While this loss in Toronto was not what we hoped for, keep the faith, Orioles fans!
