Tough Loss for the O's
Hey Orioles fans, it was a nail-biter tonight, but sadly, we came up just short. The final score was 3-2 in favor of the Red Sox. Our boys fought hard, but a late homerun in the top of the 9th by Ceddanne Rafaela cost us the game. It's always tough to lose by such a slim margin, especially when the game was within our grasp until the very end.
Orioles Highlights
Despite the loss, we had some bright moments. Dylan Beavers had a great game, scoring both of our runs. In the 2nd inning, Coby Mayo's hustle on the passed ball and Dylan Beavers’ double brought the game to a tie, and Dylan Carlson delivered a clutch double in the 7th to give us the lead. It’s always exciting to see our young talents stepping up!
Pitching and Defense
Our pitchers mostly kept the Red Sox hitters in check, with some solid performance by our bullpen. Contreras came in strong when needed and Akin did a good job keeping them at bay in the 8th, with a couple of important strikeouts. However, the Red Sox capitalized on a couple of mistakes, and unfortunately, that 9th inning homerun by Rafaela flipped the script on us. Let’s hope our bullpen can shake it off for the next game.Looking Forward
Keep your heads up, Birdland! We’ve got a talented squad and plenty of games left in the season. Let’s continue to support our O's as they push to bounce back in the next matchup. We'll take this as a learning experience and come back fighting. Let's go, Orioles!
