Baltimore Orioles Shine in Series Opener Against Boston Red Sox
What a thrilling win for the Baltimore Orioles as they beat the Boston Red Sox 8-5 on home turf! Our bats were hot from the start, and our bullpen closed the game out with style. Watching our boys bring home the victory was like music to the ears for us die-hard Orioles fans. The game kicked off with a bang as Jordan Westburg, Adley Rutschman, and Tyler O'Neill got us on the board with back-to-back hits. The Red Sox had no answer as Ryan Mountcastle and Cedric Mullins capitalized on their errors, bringing the score to 4-0 by the end of the first inning.

Solid Defense and Key Hits Keep Orioles Ahead
Though the Red Sox tried to rally back with scores in the 2nd and 3rd innings, our defense held firm, ensuring they couldn't step ahead at any point. The third inning saw Alex Bregman's and Rob Refsnyder's attempts threatened, but brilliant plays by our fielders kept them at bay. On the flip side, our bats pressured their defense—Tyler O'Neill and Ryan Mountcastle continued to set up opportunities. This constant grind was crucial in keeping the Red Sox on the back foot.

Sealing the Win
The most electric moment was undoubtedly the bottom of the eighth. Tyler O'Neill kicked things off with another key single, setting the stage for Kjerstad, whose hit padded our lead. Jorge Mateo and Cedric Mullins added additional runs with quick feet and strategic hits, extending our lead beyond the Red Sox’s reach. While the Red Sox fought in the ninth, Felix Bautista closed it out, exhibiting nerves of steel to secure our win.

It's never boring being an Orioles fan with performances like these—looking forward to more of this in the series! Way to go, O's!
