Tough Loss for the Red Sox Against the Mets

In the early innings, both teams couldn't get much going offensively. In the first inning, Rob Refsnyder, Tyler O'Neill, and Rafael Devers all struck out swinging. We did get a glimmer of hope when Jarren Duran reached on an infield single, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on it.Our pitchers also held their own, as both teams ended the first two innings with zero on the scoreboard. The game took a turn for the worse in the third inning when Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer to right field after Jeff McNeil walked. This put the Mets up 2-0, and it was a blow we couldn't quite recover from.We tried to claw back in the fifth inning. In the seventh inning, Mark Vientos hit a solo homer, putting the Mets up 3-1. After Pete Alonso singled, it started to look even more grim for us. Our relief pitcher Slaten couldn't stop the bleeding.We managed to score again in the eighth, with Duran scoring on a sacrifice fly by Enmanuel Valdez.
