Yankees Defense Sets the Stage
It was an intense game right from the start at Yankee Stadium! Our Yankees played stellar defense to keep those Red Sox from scoring and it was our pitchers who really shone! In the top of the 1st, after Braiden Ward reached on a bunt and then stole second, catcher-to-third maneuver caught him at third base!

The tension rose when both teams were putting their best foot forward on the pitching mound. Our bullpen came out on top as Cruz, Headrick, and finally Chivilli betted on each inning to keep it a shutout. While the Red Sox couldn't find a way to get past, the Yankees' defense held strong. Delay's single in the 6th was no match for our talented defenders! 
Unlikely Heroes Break the Deadlock
Finally, the breakthrough we've been waiting for came in the 8th inning! Kenedy Corona walked and got aggressive on the bases by stealing second. Thanks to a wild turn of events - a throwing error by the Red Sox catcher, Corona scored, and we had the game on our side! It was a classic Yankee move to seize the opportunity!
Closing the Game with Style
Chivilli closed out the game in the 9th inning by returning the Red Sox in order. This was a victory for Yankee pride and our ability to capitalize on errors while keeping it tight on defense! The final score: Yankees 1, Red Sox 0!
