The action picked up in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Billy Cook delivered a clutch double, allowing Nick Yorke and Marcell Ozuna to cross home plate, setting the tone with an early 2-0 lead. Cook didn't stop there—his solo homer in the 4th inning was a beauty, taking the score to 4-2. Massive shoutout to Nick Yorke who hit a massive 366-foot homer in the 6th inning, bringing in three runs and pushing our lead to 8-3!
Red Sox Rally and Pirates Seal the Win
The Red Sox, to their credit, fought back valiantly, closing the gap to 8-7 with a couple of clutch hits, including a two-run homer from Mickey Gasper in the 8th. But our Pirates held strong! With a quick response in the bottom of the 8th, Rafael Flores stepped up, substituting for Ozuna, and knocked in a vital insurance run, ensuring we had a 9-7 lead. The game concluded with Sanders slamming the door in the 9th inning, securing all three outs and the win for the Pirates!
