Heartbreaking Loss to the Red Sox
Hey Blue Jays fans!
Tough game last night against the Red Sox as we fell short 4-3. Here's a quick roundup of what went down at the Rogers Centre.A Promising Start
It looked like we were off to a good start in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Justin Turner singled to left and Addison Barger followed with another single, pushing Turner to third. The duo of Turner and Ernie Clement then managed to bring home two runs, putting us ahead 2-1 by the end of the inning. Special shoutout to Ernie Clement for that clutch double!
Back-and-Forth Battle
The Red Sox evened things out in the top of the 6th when Yoshida’s single brought Devers home. But we quickly responded in the bottom of that inning with Isiah Kiner-Falefa knocking a crucial single to right field, allowing Justin Turner to score and putting us back ahead 3-2. But the game saw more twists as the Red Sox tied it up again in the 8th inning with a solo homer by O'Neill and then took the lead with Rafaela's single bringing Hamilton home.
Tough Close
As we headed to the 9th innings, the tension was real. Danny Jansen came in to pinch hit but struck out looking to end the game. A tough pill to swallow, but the boys gave it their all. We wrapped up the night with a final score of 4-3, Red Sox taking the win. Hang in there, Blue Jays fans! We'll bounce back!
