Opening Defense: The Pitching Dominance Begins

What a way to shut down the Red Sox right out of the gate! 🔥 Our pitchers brought their A-game today, keeping Boston scoreless through the first six innings. Duran, Story, and Bregman couldn't find any holes in our field, and our catcher Tyler Heineman ensured nothing got past him. The kind of start that instills confidence in the team!

Lightning Strikes in the 6th

After a scoreless five innings from both teams, the 6th inning was where the magic happened! 🌟 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took advantage of a throwing error, setting the stage for Addison Barger and Anthony Santander to load the bases. And just like that, Daulton Varsho blasted a homer to right center, bringing all three home! Not to be outdone, George Springer followed up with a two-run homer of his own to give us a comfy 6-0 lead. What an explosive inning! 💥

Closing it Out

The Red Sox did try to mount a comeback in the 7th with a run, but our relievers shut them down rapidly, especially with speedster Myles Straw covering left field efficiently. Reed Fisher, followed by Duck Little, showed incredible composure on the mound, forcing ground balls and fly outs when it mattered most. In the 9th, Jeff Hoffman sealed Boston's fate, even as the Red Sox tried to stir up something with the bases loaded. A fantastic team performance that only boosts our excitement for the next game. Let's keep the momentum going, Blue Jays! 🐦💙
