Solid Start and Strong Finish
What a game, fellow Red Sox fans! It was an absolute delight to watch our beloved Sox dismantle the Nationals with a convincing 10-3 victory. Right from the get-go, we set the tone in the top of the first inning. After Nate Eaton reached first due to a fielding error by the Nationals' third baseman, Brady House, Romy González picked up an amazing double that allowed Eaton to score. Not long after, Rob Refsnyder joined the doubles party, bringing González home.
Third Inning Surge!
The third inning was where we truly shined! Romy González once again showed off his power with a double, followed by Roman Anthony's RBI single. Jarren Duran showcased his speed and skill with a thrilling triple that drove in two runs, and then scored himself thanks to an error. And let's not forget that glorious homer by Ceddanne Rafaela that pushed us further ahead!
By the end of the third inning, we were comfortably in the lead at 9-1.Closing It Out and Securing the Win
While the Nationals managed to put a couple more runs on the board, our boys remained steady. Rafaela struck again in the top of the 8th with a double, driving in Abraham Toro for our final run of the game. With clean pitching and stellar defense till the end, especially from Jorge Alcala closing in the ninth, our Red Sox brought home a well-earned victory.
