Tough Loss Against the Cubs
What a hard-fought game by our Chicago White Sox! Despite the valiant effort, we fell just short against the Cubs, ending with a final score of 7-6.Early Struggles
The Cubs came out swinging from the start. Ian Happ kicked off the game with a homer, setting the tone for the Cubs. By the end of the 1st inning, the Cubs had already put three runs on the board. It was a rough start, but our boys showed tenacity.Cubs Build Their Lead
The 3rd inning was particularly tough, as the Cubs added another four runs, leading us 0-7. Homers from Isaac Paredes and Nico Hoerner really put us in a tight spot. But our White Sox didn't give up!Big 4th Inning Comeback
Finally, some action from our offense! Andrew Vaughn started it off with a solo homer to center. Then, Gavin Sheets, Korey Lee, and Dominic Fletcher all contributed to put four runs on the board! Nicky Lopez's single brought Fletcher home, cutting the Cubs' lead to just 3 runs, making it 4-7.Keeping the Momentum
In the 5th inning, Andrew Benintendi hit a homer to right, narrowing the deficit to 5-7. We could feel the momentum shifting!Down to the Wire
By the 7th inning, Benintendi was on fire and knocked another one out of the park, bringing us just one run behind at 6-7. Unfortunately, time was running out, and their bullpen really clamped down after that.Final Push Falls Short
In the 9th inning, we made one last push. Dominic Fletcher and Brooks Baldwin reached base, giving us hope. But with bases loaded, Andrew Vaughn flied out to center, and our rally was cut short.Final Thoughts
