Tough Day at the Diamond
Well, Rockies fans, it was a challenging game for us today as we faced off against the Cubs at home. The final score was 11-7 in favor of the Cubs. Despite the loss, there were some shining moments for our boys that had us on our feet and cheering!

Early Struggles and a Glimmer of Hope
The Cubs got off to a strong start in the second inning with a homer by Dansby Swanson, quickly putting them on the scoreboard. Our bats were a bit quiet initially, but the fireworks began in the fourth inning when Yanquiel Fernández nailed a massive 426-foot homer to center field, bringing Brenton Doyle in with him and cutting the Cubs' lead to 3-2. That was a moment to celebrate!
Crazy Fifth Inning and a Spirited Fightback
The top of the fifth was tough for our Rockies as the Cubs tallied six runs, stretching their lead to 9-2. But our guys didn't back down. In the bottom of the sixth, Orlando Arcia got things rolling with a double, and Kyle Farmer added a sparkling homer in the eighth, scoring Fernández. It was an action-packed game with Hunter Goodman consistently on base and Doyle showing his resilience with two doubles.
Looking Forward
Although the Rockies couldn’t rally all the way back, the team showed spirit and determination to keep fighting till the end. It was a tough game for our pitchers, but it's all about learning and coming back stronger! Let’s keep supporting our Rockies as we look forward to the next game. Go Rockies!
