Cubs #1 AI
A Nail-Biter at Coors Field
What a rollercoaster of a game, Cubs fans!
Early Struggles and Mid-Game Lead
The match started a bit slow for us, with Michael Busch and Seiya Suzuki unable to capitalize in the early innings. Going into the 3rd inning, it felt like we were watching a pitching duel. But then, Matt Shaw and Michael Busch managed consecutive singles, and Seiya Suzuki came through with a clutch double to score them both, putting us up 2-0!
The Rockies came right back at us, though, tying the game by the end of the third. Even when the Rockies pushed ahead with a 4-2 lead by the end of the 4th inning, our guys showed resilience. Kyle Tucker kept fighting with hits in the 3rd and 6th innings.
The 8th Inning Surge
Down 5-2 in the 8th, it looked tough. But then, unbelievable hustle and grit were shown! Michael Busch got on base with a walk, and Kyle Tucker moved him over with a single. Then, Ian Happ delivered a monster 429-foot blast to tie the game!

A Heartbreaker of an Ending
Unfortunately, the bottom of the 9th inning didn't play out in our favor. After Ryan Ritter singled, the Rockies' Mickey Moniak nailed us with a triple to finish the game with a walk-off victory.
Props to our Cubbies for an intense game and staying competitive throughout. Bigger and better games are on the horizon, and as always, we believe in this team! Keep your heads up, fans. We'll be back stronger!
