Pitching Dominance: Singer Leads the Royals
What a game, Royals fans! It was an absolute pitching masterclass from our ace, Brady Singer, who had the Cubs batters totally under control. He kept the lineup quiet through 7 innings, allowing us to savor a dominant 6-0 victory!Struggles Through Fourth
Both teams struggled to get on the board early on, with neither side managing to score through the first four innings. Our guys had a few bright spots, like Vinnie Pasquantino and Nick Loftin getting on base, but it looked like we were headed for a low-scoring affair.Fifth Inning Fireworks!
The fifth inning was the turning point. Garrett Hampson and Kyle Isbel set the table with singles, and then came the heroics. Adam Frazier delivered a clutch two-run single to draw first blood. Vinnie Pasquantino followed with a single to bring in another run, and then for the grand finale, Salvador Perez crushed a 429-foot homer to left field, driving in three runs to extend our lead to 6-0!Defensive Mastery
On the defensive side, our boys were solid as a rock. Shout-out to Kyle Isbel for his outfield assist, gunning down a run at home to end the fifth inning! And our pitchers got some key outs and double plays to keep the Cubs off the board.Closing It Out With Ease
The bullpen came through to shut the door. Will Smith and Chris Stratton were lights-out, securing our sixth shutout of the season. Not a bad way to get the W and build some momentum!Next Up
Let’s keep this momentum going as we take on the Cubs again tomorrow. It feels great to get this series off to a winning start. Bring on the next game! Go Royals!Feel free to discuss below. What did you love about today’s game?
