A Nail-Biting Victory for the Cubs
What a game, Cubs fans!
Early Lead and Strong Pitching
Right from the get-go in the 1st inning, we saw a fantastic homer from Kyle Tucker, who smashed it 405 feet to right center to put us on the board early. Our pitchers held the Angels scoreless for the first four innings, with Nico Hoerner contributing with steady plays on defense. The Angels couldn’t find their groove against our defense, which resulted in a bunch of groundouts from their top hitters like Mike Trout and Zach Neto.
Mid-Game Tension
The Angels managed to get a homer in the 5th inning, thanks to Yoan Moncada, but we weren't letting up. Seiya Suzuki added to our tally with a sacrifice fly to score Dansby Swanson in the 3rd inning, keeping us ahead. However, Moncada struck again in the 7th inning to tie the game, and things were starting to look tense for our Cubs.
Late-Inning Heroics
Heading into the 9th inning with everything on the line, Pete Crow-Armstrong delivered the moment we've all been waiting for with a clutch homer to right center, a solid 396-footer that gave us the lead once again.

A Well-Deserved Win
The Cubs showcased both resilience and tenacity, pulling through in a game that kept fans at the edge of their seats until the very last pitch. It's victories like these that remind us why we love the game - and our Cubbies! Can't wait to see what the next matchup holds. Go Cubs Go!
