Tough Game for the Cubs
Well, Cubs fans, today was a tough one in Milwaukee. Despite some solid efforts, our Cubbies fell to the Brewers with a final score of 9-3. The game started evenly with both teams scoreless in the first inning. Our boys drew first blood in the second inning when Pete Crow-Armstrong scored off a fielder's choice by Dansby Swanson. Cubs were up 1-0!
Brewers' Offensive Surge
Unfortunately, the lead was short-lived. The Brewers came back in the second inning to tie it up 1-1 and take the lead in the third inning with a sacrifice fly by Andrew Vaughn. They didn't stop there—by the end of the 5th, they had increased their lead to 5-1. Notably, William Contreras and Christian Yelich put pressure on our pitchers, and the errors didn't help us either.

Cubs Fight, But Fall Short
Our team answered back in the 6th inning with a homer from Nico Hoerner, bringing us 5-2. Ian Happ also made a mark with a double to right, but couldn't find his way home. Even though Seiya Suzuki and Pete Crow-Armstrong tried to bring us back, the Brewers' bullpen held strong. Vaughn's three-run homer in the 6th sealed the game for the Brewers.
Onward and Upward
It was a gutsy effort from our guys, but sometimes the game just doesn't go your way. Let's keep the Wrigley Field magic alive and look forward to the next one! Go Cubs Go!
