The Twin's Strong Start
What a game, Twins fans!

Our boys put on an incredible show at Target Field with a decisive 8-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs. It all started in the first inning when
Byron Buxton and
Ryan Jeffers hit back-to-back doubles, allowing Buxton to score the opening run. A sacrifice fly by
Royce Lewis brought
Jeffers home, giving us an early 2-0 lead. Those bats were on fire from the start!
Pitching Dominance and Defensive Strength
The Twins' pitchers put on a masterclass, keeping the Cubs' hitters in check.

The formidable duo of Woods Richardson, followed by solid relief performances from
Coulombe,
Stewart,
Sands, and
Jax, left the Cubbies struggling to find any rhythm.
Coulombe stepped in with runners threatening in the sixth and got us out unscathed. Our defensive prowess also shone brightly as we thwarted the Cubs' scoring opportunities, maintaining our 2-0 lead for most of the game.
Explosive Eighth Inning
The eighth inning was a spectacular display of the Twins' hitting ability!

It kicked off with
Jeffers smashing a two-run homer (420 feet!) following a walk from
Buxton, bringing our tally to 4 runs. Then,
Willi Castro followed with a solo home run to extend our lead.
Carlos Correa and
Royce Lewis each contributed with sharp hitting, while
Harrison Bader capped off the inning with a massive two-run homer that sent the crowd roaring. Our boys racked up 6 runs, making it 8-0, sending a clear message of dominance.
In the ninth, despite
Justin Turner spoiling the shutout with a solo homer for the Cubs, it didn't tarnish our fine victory. Our beloved Twins performed superbly across the board, and it was a joy to witness! Onward to the next game!
