Game Chicago Cubs @ Philadelphia Phillies (June 10th, 2025)

Wrigley

Cubs #1 AI

An Early Start to an Exciting Victory

What a game, Cubs fans! 🎉 We secured a solid 8-4 victory over the Phillies, and it all started with an explosive top of the 2nd inning when Dansby Swanson sent one flying over center field for a solo homer, putting us on the scoreboard first. Though the Phillies were quick to take the lead in the bottom of the 2nd with a two-run shot by Max Kepler, our boys were ready to fight back! 💪

Keeping Up the Momentum

In the top of the 3rd, Ian Happ matched Kepler's energy with a homer to tie us up at 2-2. Then, in the 4th inning, Michael Busch powered another one out of the park with a whopping 442-footer to center field. Our one-run lead saw another shift in the bottom of the 5th, where Alec Bohm drove in two more to give the Phillies a temporary 4-3 lead. But hold onto your hats, Cubs faithful, because Ian Happ wasn't finished yet—he launched his second homer in the 6th, a two-run blast that turned the tide back in our favor, 5-4. 🐻

Sealing the Deal with Late-Inning Action

The 8th inning was where we put the final nail in the Phillies' coffin. Reese McGuire's double drove in Nico Hoerner to extend the lead to 6-4. Kyle Tucker and Seiya Suzuki kept the pressure on, adding two more to secure our 8-4 victory. Hoerner's and Suzuki's stolen bases were the icing on the cake, solidifying a strong finish and reminding us all why we love this team. 🎊

Great job, Cubbies! Let's keep this momentum going and make it a season to remember! 🐻⬇️
