A Tough Start to the Game
Well, it wasn't the start we were hoping for, folks. The Cubs came out swinging in the top of the 1st inning, scoring four runs right off the bat. A balk, a couple of homers, and a wild pitch saw us quickly down 4-0. Bummer. But we’re Pirates, and we didn’t back down!

Fighting Back in the First
Our Buccos showed resilience in the bottom of the 1st inning. Tommy Pham walked and Andrew McCutchen singled to keep the momentum alive. Then, bang! Joey Bart launched a massive three-run homer (419 feet), bringing us right back into the fight! We're now 3-4, and there's plenty of baseball left to play.

Staying in the Game
The Cubs extended their lead in the 6th inning when things got a little messy. A couple of errors and some clutch hitting put them up again, 7-4. But Nick Gonzales kept battling, getting on base late into the game. Unfortunately, we couldn't close the gap, and a few missed opportunities left us behind in an 8-4 loss.Looking Ahead
Today wasn’t our day, but there were glimmers of hope. That Joey Bart homer truly was something to behold, and Andrew McCutchen managed to get on base several times! There’s no doubt we’ll bounce back stronger. Let’s keep supporting the team and aim for victory in the next matchup. Hold your heads high, Pirates fans!
