Our own Willy Adames was the spark that ignited the Giants' fire in the first inning. After Rafael Devers worked a walk, Adames crushed a 417-foot homer to left center! 
He gave the Giants an early 2-1 lead over the Cubs right out of the gate and showcased why he's an invaluable asset in our lineup. Despite the Cubs quickly responding with a homer from Dansby Swanson to even the score, the energy in Oracle Park was undeniably with our Giants.A Showdown of Star Pitchers! 
Our pitching staff had their work cut out for them, but they rose splendidly to the occasion. Although Michael Busch took one deep, making it a 3-2 Cubs lead in the sixth, the Giants' bullpen showed up in critical moments. Hats off to our new pitching wonder Joey Lucchesi and the reliable Walker, who kept the Cubs at bay when it mattered the most.The Exciting Walk-Off Finish! 
Never ones to back down, our Giants dominated the ninth inning to victory! Casey Schmitt led off with a single, swiftly advancing with the help of Wilmer Flores’ bat. A crucial hit by Jung Hoo Lee to right field brought home pinch runner Christian Koss, delivering the final blow to claim a phenomenal 4-3 win. His clutch hit reaffirmed his knack for coming up big when it matters — the stadium erupted with jubilation!
