What a rollercoaster of a game, fellow Mariners fans!
It was a close one at T-Mobile Park last night, but unfortunately, our beloved Seattle Mariners fell just short, losing 3-2 to the Chicago Cubs. Despite the loss, there were some key moments and performances that highlighted the fight in our team. Early Struggles and Missed Opportunities
The game started with the Cubs putting pressure early on. A crucial error by our pitcher led to Seiya Suzuki scoring in the 1st inning, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead. Our bats were quiet early on, with key players like J.P. Crawford, Mitch Haniger, and Jorge Polanco struggling to get hits off Cubs' pitching.The Pitching Duel
After their early score, both teams' pitchers dialed in, making it tough for batters on both sides. The Mariners' pitching staff pulled off some impressive strikeouts, keeping the Cubs at bay for a while. However, Michael Busch's homer in the 4th extended the Cubs' lead to 3-0, which felt like a mountain to climb with the way our bats were silent.The Mariners' Fight Back
