A Hard-Fought Victory for the Orioles! 
What a game! Our Baltimore Orioles pulled off a tight 3-2 victory against the Chicago White Sox. It was a nail-biter from start to finish, but in the end, the O’s did us proud. 
️Strong Start in the Third Inning
The bats came alive in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Maverick Handley singled to left to get things going, followed by a stunning double to right by Jackson Holliday! Ramon Urías then singled to center, bringing Handley home and putting our Birds on the board. Gunnar Henderson kept the momentum going with a single to load them up. Moments later, Ryan O'Hearn hit an essential sacrifice fly, allowing Holliday to score and giving us a 2-0 lead.
Closing It Out
The White Sox fought back in the 6th, tightening the game with a run off a fielding error, but Dylan Carlson knocked a crucial double to make it 3-1 Orioles. The 7th inning saw some hiccups with Mike Tauchman smacking a home run for the White Sox, cutting the lead to one. The pressure was on, but Andrew Kittredge and Michael Baker closed it down in the 8th and 9th innings, respectively. Baker’s flawless 9th, including striking out Luis Robert Jr., secured the win for Baltimore.
Highlights and Heroes
Today, every play counted. Hats off to O’Hearn for that pivotal sacrifice fly and Carlson for his timely double. Defensive plays were sharp overall, with Holliday making some great moves, despite a little hiccup. The bullpen stepped up to keep the lead! It’s moments like these that remind us why we love baseball. Way to go, Orioles!
