Our budding star, Pete Crow-Armstrong, kept the momentum going with a crucial single to center, bringing the score to a commanding 4-1. And let’s not forget his thrilling triple in the 4th!
The Sox tried to claw back with Timothy Elko’s solo homer in the 5th, but our shortstop virtuoso Dansby Swanson responded in style, blasting a jaw-dropping 433-foot homer to center field.

Our pitching was on point today! Following the early homer, our team showed resilience and command. Big hurrahs go to Boyd, Keller, and Palencia who kept the Sox at bay, with Hodge anchoring the win by sealing their fate in the final inning.
The defensive efforts kept the scoreboard ticking in our favor as the Sox struggled to get past our rock-solid defense. Kudos also to Kyle Tucker for showing off his speed with two stolen bases and providing a steady hand in right field. The Cubs' mix of strategic hitting and solid defense surely outshone the late attempts by the White Sox to recover.
