Tough Start in Detroit

The Chicago White Sox traveled to Detroit, hoping to avenge our earlier losses, but the game didn't go our way. It all began promisingly enough. In the top of the 1st inning,
Luis Robert Jr. showed patience at the plate, drawing a walk. He advanced to second thanks to a single by
Andrew Benintendi. Our spirits soared when
Andrew Vaughn hit a double to left that brought
Robert Jr. home, giving us the early lead. But unfortunately, momentum shifted as
Nick Maton and
Lenyn Sosa couldn't capitalize, with Maton striking out and Sosa grounding out.
Struggles in the Middle Innings

As the game moved into the second inning, the Tigers pounced back with a home run by
Kerry Carpenter, capturing a 4-1 lead. The bottom of the 3rd crooked inning from the Tigers added more pressure. After
Spencer Torkelson's solo homer

and further hits brought their score to 7-1, our team struggled to catch a break. We managed to inch closer in the 5th inning when
Korey Lee and
Jacob Amaya got on base, and though Lee eventually scored on a groundout, closing the gap felt like pushing a boulder uphill.
Missed Opportunities and Closing

Our Sox couldn't mount the desired comeback, as the Tigers silenced our bats effectively with their pitching changes.
Robert Jr. and our lineup had little luck breaking through Detroit's robust defense. As we entered the final innings,
Brooks Baldwin tried to rally our squad with a late single in the 4th while others like
Benintendi continued to fight. However, their bullpen clamped down and ended our night quietly.
In the end, the White Sox fell short 7-2 in Detroit, but as a true fan, we know the season is long, and we’ll bounce back stronger! Tomorrow is a new day filled with hope and another chance to roar
