Game Summary
Well, White Sox fans, it was a tough outing against the Royals, who came out on top with a final score of 6-2.

Mid-Game Struggles
Despite some nifty defensive plays—like the double play started by Brooks Baldwin—and a solid effort from our bullpen led by Sammy Vasil, the Royals kept chipping away. In the third, John Rave added another homer, and they began to run away with it by tacking on more in the fifth and sixth innings. Our offense struggled to find rhythm—bases seemed harder to reach than ever as Colson Montgomery, Luis Robert Jr., and others couldn't quite break through.
Late-Game Hustle
It wasn't until the top of the eighth that we saw some signs of life from our lineup! That was when Andrew Benintendi shot a double to right, allowing Robert Jr. and Montgomery to score and narrow the gap in the scoreboard. Unfortunately, it was a little too late for a comeback. Edgar Quero gave us a glimmer of hope with a single in the ninth, but the Royals' pitching held us off, sealing their victory. Even when opportunities arose, such as Vargas striking out in crucial moments, the Royals’ defense remained firm.

Keep your heads up, Sox fans! There's always the next game to look forward to. Let's keep rooting for our boys!
