Brewers Start Strong
The Milwaukee Brewers kicked off the game on the right foot, taking an early lead against the Chicago White Sox in the 1st inning. Brice Turang set the tone with a double to left, and shortly afterward, Jackson Chourio added a double to right field, moving Turang to third. Our veteran, Christian Yelich, grounded out to shortstop – allowing Turang to score and giving the Brewers a 1-0 lead.
Holding the Advantage
The Brewers kept the White Sox at bay for the better part of the game. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Brewer Hicklen capitalized on a wild pitch from Varland to bring our lead to 2-0. Despite several changes and attempts by the White Sox, including some crafty fielding from our side, we maintained our advantage through the top of the seventh inning.
Late Game Heartbreak
Unfortunately, the tides turned in the top of the 8th inning. An explosive showing from the White Sox was sparked by homers from Tristan Gray and an unlucky balk – they scored an astonishing 8 runs in one inning, turning a win within our grasp into a frustrating outcome. The White Sox then held us scoreless in our subsequent attempts, clinching the game with a final score of 8-2.
