Mets Start Strong with a Pete Alonso Blast
Let's go Mets! Our boys in orange and blue pulled off a fantastic win against the White Sox with a final score of 6-4. The first inning unfolded as a classic display of resilience. Although the White Sox grabbed an early lead with Miguel Vargas smashing a two-run homer, our Mets didn't let that shake their confidence.
In the bottom of the first, Pete Alonso sent Citi Field into a frenzy with his massive home run to center, bringing Brandon Nimmo home and leveling the score. Not long after, Brett Baty's single set the stage for Jared Young to crank a two-run homer of his own.

Solid Defense Holds White Sox at Bay
The middle innings were quiet but intense. Our defense shone brightly, keeping the White Sox at just 2 runs until the 7th inning. Jeff McNeil added another run in the 3rd with a sacrifice fly, bringing Brett Baty home. Our pitching was on point with Buttó and later Castillo stepping in when needed. The White Sox managed to creep back with two runs in the 7th, but the Mets stayed strong, thanks to Garrett coming in and silencing the Chicago bats in the 8th.
Francisco Lindor Delivers the Final Blow
Heading into the bottom of the 8th, the Mets were leading 5-4. After a hitless stretch, Francisco Lindor stepped up in a major way. With Luisangel Acuna pinch-running from third, Lindor delivered an RBI single to give us some breathing room, padding the lead to 6-4. It was a crucial insurance run that sealed the fate of the game. The top of the 9th was a testament to the Mets' indomitable spirit as they shut down any hopes of a White Sox comeback, with Benintendi struck out swinging to end the game. Victory is ours, Mets fans!
Mets win with a score of 6-4, and spirits at Citi Field have never been higher.
