White Sox Strike Early 
It was a promising start for our boys in the second inning! Andrew Vaughn led off with a powerful double, advancing to third on a fielding error by the A's right fielder, Lawrence Butler. Then, Andrew Benintendi stepped up and delivered a two-run homer to right center, putting us up 2-0 early.
Defense Holds Strong 
For the majority of the game, our pitching and defense held the Athletics scoreless. There were some tense moments, like in the bottom of the 5th inning when Abraham Toro and Zack Gelof managed to get on base, but a double play ended the threat. Through the first six innings, we were in control with our 2-0 lead.
Late Inning Collapse 
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse in the 7th inning. Brent Rooker got on base with a single, and Toro walked, setting the stage for Armando Alvarez and Zack Gelof who each delivered RBI singles, tying the game at 2-2. Then, Lawrence Butler hit a sacrifice fly that allowed Alvarez to score, giving the A's a 3-2 lead. Despite our efforts, we couldn't mount a comeback through the 9th inning.
Final Thoughts 
It's always tough to see a lead slip away, but let's keep our heads up, White Sox fans! Andrew Benintendi's homer and the strong early defense were positives to take away. We'll learn from this and come back stronger. Let's keep supporting our team! Go White Sox!
