The game didn't start in our favor as Lenyn Sosa from the White Sox drove in three runs with a double to left field, putting the Sox ahead 3-0 in the first inning. Our defense had a bit of a rough go early on, but pitcher change helped steady the ship. Bottom of the 4th was where things took a dramatic turn! After Swift hit a three-run homer to center, the Athletics were back in the game, trailing by only 7-5. Then, in the fifth inning, Cade Marlowe and Michael Stefanic hustled around the bases with a crucial double by Henry Bolte, tying the game at 7-7. Ultimately, Joey Meneses and Drew Swift drove in more runs, catapulting our Athletics to a 9-7 lead! It was a spectacular inning, everyone!Closing It Out
Into the 8th inning, Josh Kuroda-Grauer and Henry Bolte helped us add another run, extending our lead to 10-8! However, the White Sox wouldn't go down without a fight. In the 9th inning, with their last push, Darren Baker managed to tack on one more run for Chicago, but Geoff Hartlieb closed the door with a clutch strikeout, sealing our well-fought victory! What an incredible finish, A's fans!This game was the perfect example of what makes baseball great—an epic comeback and relentless spirit!
