A Frustrating Loss in Seattle
Fellow White Sox fans, tonight was tough. We faced off against the Seattle Mariners in what turned out to be a nail-biter of a game, but ultimately, we fell short in extra innings with a final score of 2-1. Let's break down the game.Pitching Duel Through Six
The game started as a pitcher's duel; both teams were held scoreless for the first six innings. Our hitters struggled to get anything going. Nicky Lopez flied out, Andrew Vaughn walked but didn’t advance, and Gavin Sheets struck out looking. Even Paul DeJong struck out swinging to end the first inning. The Mariners weren't doing much better, however, as our defense held them off the bases as well.Seventh Inning Heartbreaker
The game took a turn in the 7th inning when the Mariners' Luke Raley hit a solo home run to right-center, breaking the deadlock and putting Seattle up 1-0. We couldn't answer back immediately, as our bats continued to struggle mightily against Seattle’s pitching.Ninth Inning Hope 
The 9th inning gave us a spark! Luis Robert Jr. came in to pinch-hit for Lopez and blasted a home run to left field, tying the game at 1-1. This hit brought all of us back to life! However, the Mariners' bullpen managed to shut us down after that, stranding Sheets on second base. Our hopes for a lead fizzled out quickly.Extra Inning Woes
Heading into the 10th inning, we couldn't capitalize on opportunities. Pinch-hitter Andrew Benintendi struck out swinging to end our half of the inning with runners in scoring position. When it was Seattle's turn, they managed to load the bases. Mitch Haniger singled to right field, driving in the winning run and sealing the score at 2-1.Looking Forward 
It's always tough to lose a close one, especially in extra innings, but let's not lose hope. Our pitching kept us in the game for long stretches, and Luis Robert Jr.’s home run was a fantastic moment.
