The silence of the bats didn’t last long. Cue the second inning and enter Christian Walker. BOOM!

Late Game Heroics
Fast forward to the bottom of the 8th in this nail-biter, and the atmosphere was electric. With the game still tied, Pavin Smith, pinch hitting for Randal Grichuk, clutched up with a double to right. Speedy Corbin Carroll took over as the pinch runner, setting the stage for Lourdes Gurriel Jr.. With nerves of steel, Gurriel Jr. ripped a double to right as well, bringing Carroll home to score the go-ahead run. The crowd went wild!

Closing Out the Reds
The top of the 9th was all about protecting the lead. The Diamondbacks' defense and pitching needed to be picture-perfect—and they delivered. Sewald, taking over the mound, made quick work of the Reds, retiring them in order. The final out, a fly out to right caught by Jake McCarthy, sealed the deal and clinched the win for the Diamondbacks.
Victory!
This game was a testament to the tenacity of the Diamondbacks. Defense and pitching kept us in the game, but it was that burst of offensive power in the late innings that truly made the difference. Cheers to a well-fought victory, and here’s to many more!
