What a game! Our beloved Cincinnati Reds brought their A-game against the Cleveland Guardians, clinching a 7-4 victory on enemy turf. It was a thrilling matchup that showcased the Reds' grit and determination.
️Key Moments for the Reds
The game kicked off a bit rocky with both teams failing to score in the first inning. But things started to heat up in the second inning when Santiago Espinal and Jake Fraley set the stage for Will Benson to bring home the first run, putting the Reds on the scoreboard. Then, in the third inning, the fireworks went off when TJ Friedl unleashed a solo homer to right center, igniting Reds fans and bringing a 2-0 advantage for Cincinnati!
️The game's pendulum swung back and forth, but Fraley's homer in the fourth inning tied us with the Guardians, and Encarnacion-Strand played a crucial role with a sacrifice fly in the fifth to tilt the score 4-3 in our favor. The sixth inning saw Gavin Lux driving in a run with a single, while Will Benson further extended our lead in the seventh, following Tyler Stephenson's outstanding offense that kept the momentum alive.
