The game started on a tense note with the Reds' Stuart Fairchild reaching on a bunt single, and eventually scoring the first run thanks to a double by Spencer Steer. Our boys tried to counteract in the bottom of the first, but were unfortunately shut down by the Reds' pitching. Still, the early innings showed promise with some solid pitching and defense keeping the game within reach.Missed Opportunities
As the innings progressed, the Rockies had a tough time gaining momentum against the Reds’ pitchers. Attempts by Charlie Blackmon, Ryan McMahon, and Elias Díaz to spark a rally fell short. Despite tight pitching from our side, the Reds slowly extended their lead, highlighted by Elly De La Cruz belting a home run to center in the 3rd inning.Fighting Until the Last Out
Despite being down 4-0, the Rockies showed their fighting spirit. In the 9th, the atmosphere was electric as Rodgers doubled to center, scoring Díaz and preventing a shutout. Unfortunately, Montero’s fly out to left ended the game, sealing the Rockies’ fate.Reflections
