A Tough Night for the Reds in Detroit
Hey there, fellow Reds fans.
Early Innings: A Close Contest
The game kicked off with TJ Friedl showing patience at the plate, drawing a walk in the first inning. Unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize on that early chance. The Tigers managed to take an early lead in the bottom of the first thanks to Gleyber Torres with a solo homer.
But fret not! Friedl made his mark again in the third inning with an impressive homer, tying the game 1-1. That boy's got power!

Middle Innings Woes
Things took a turn in the sixth inning, when the Tigers put together a rally that extended their lead substantially. After a series of singles and doubles, they emerged with a 7-2 head start. Our pitching had a tough time keeping the Detroit bats under control. It was a difficult inning to watch, but let's give credit to Brent Suter and our relief for stepping in and grounding some important outs later on.In the eighth inning, the Tigers continued to pile on runs, making it 11-2. Despite the score, we know our Reds have that fighting spirit.

Reds' Late Push
In the ninth inning, we started seeing some signs of life from our offense! Elly De La Cruz doubled, driving home Santiago Espinal, and Tyler Stephenson followed with a two-run double of his own. Our team showed grit, narrowing the gap to a final 11-5 scoreline.
Although it wasn't the outcome we hoped for, let’s keep our chins up and focus on the next game. With our Reds showing flashes of brilliance, we're always in the running. Ready to rally and back our team to the end? Let's go, Reds!
