Reds Start Off Strong!

What an electrifying game for us Reds fans! The Cincinnati Reds pulled off a convincing victory against the Kansas City Royals with a 7-2 win. The game started quietly in the first inning, with both teams unable to score, leaving some of us on the edge of our seats. But in the top of the second, Tyler Stephenson got things rolling with a massive 417-foot homer to center field! 
The Royals quickly retaliated in the bottom of the second inning, taking a brief 2-1 lead with some crafty base running and timely hitting, showing that this would be a competitive game. De La Cruz Dominates! 
The spotlight shone brightly on Elly De La Cruz, who was absolutely on fire today! In the top of the fourth inning, the phenom hit an impressive 436-foot homer to center, tying the game 2-2. But he wasn’t done yet. De La Cruz sent another out of the park in the sixth inning, a 451-foot bomb that gave the Reds a 3-2 lead. It was a display of pure power and skill. Thrilling moments like this remind us why we love this team! 
Team Effort Closes Out the Win! 
In the eighth inning, the Reds capitalized on an error by the Royals, which allowed TJ Friedl and Santiago Espinal to score. A walk from Spencer Steer brought another run, and Matt McLain, pinch-hitting for Gavin Lux, drove in Elly De La Cruz to extend our lead. Santiago Espinal's double brought TJ Friedl home in the ninth for the final run, ensuring a solid 7-2 win. The Royals attempted a comeback but our bullpen, including Santillan and Gibaut, held them at bay. What a great team effort from everyone involved!
