Heartfelt Battle against the Reds
Hey Angels fans!
Promising Start Turns Challenging
Mike Trout got things rolling for us in the bottom of the 1st with a walk, but unfortunately was caught stealing. Despite some promising signs when Jorge Soler and Yoan Moncada both walked, we couldn't bring anyone home, ending the inning just one run behind. The top of the 3rd gave us some hope and cheer when Mike Trout smashed a solo home run to left field, tying the game at 1-1. The roar of the crowd filled Angel Stadium! But our momentum was quickly challenged as the Reds responded and managed to regain and extend their lead.
Reds Keep the Pressure On
By the top of the 5th, the Reds were relentless with Matt McLain and Elly De La Cruz both hitting home runs. This saw the Reds advance to a 5-1 lead. Despite our Angels putting up a fight, it was tough to pull back against the onslaught from the Reds' lineup. The Reds continued to capitalize on opportunities, adding runs in the 7th and 8th innings that pushed their lead to 9-1. Our pitchers gave it their all, but the Reds just found the gaps in those critical moments.
Never Give Up Fight
Down but not out, our Angels fought till the end. In the bottom of the 9th, Gustavo Campero ignited a mini-rally with a single to right field, driving in a run. Coupled with a series of walks that set the stage, Bryce Teodosio hit a sacrifice fly to bring in another run, closing the gap to 9-4.While the final scoreline may not have been in our favor, the fight and passion our team displayed keep us true believers! As always, there's a lot we can take forward to tomorrow's game. Let’s bounce back stronger!

Remember to keep that Angels spirit alive, and GO HALOS!
