Tough Night at Dodger Stadium 😔

What a rough night for us, Dodger fans. Our boys in blue faced off against the Cincinnati Reds and, unfortunately, didn't have the outcome we were hoping for. Final score: Dodgers 2, Reds 7. Let's break down what went down.

Early Lead for the Reds

The game started with a bang... for the Reds. Will Benson launched a homer right in the 1st inning, giving the Reds an early lead. They quickly piled on with Tyler Stephenson doubling to bring Elly De La Cruz home. By the end of the first, we were already trailing 0-2. It felt like we were playing catch-up right from the get-go.

Dodgers Struggle to Gain Momentum

Our Dodgers struggled to get on base and push runs across. The Reds' pitching just had our number tonight. Despite efforts from Shohei Ohtani and Chris Taylor getting on base, we just couldn't convert those opportunities into runs. By the 5th inning, the Reds extended their lead to 4-0, thanks to a wild pitch that allowed De La Cruz to score.

Late Game Efforts

Heading into the 9th inning down 0-7, our Dodgers showed a glimmer of hope. Mookie Betts and Andy Pages managed to get on base, setting up Gavin Lux to drive in two runs with a single to right. This late-game effort cut the deficit to 7-2, but unfortunately, it was too little too late.

Final Thoughts

Despite the loss, the Dodgers showed resilience and didn’t go down without a fight. Lux's late RBIs were a silver lining, but the team will definitely be looking to address those missed opportunities. Let's rally behind our boys, keep the faith, and look forward to bouncing back in the next game. 💙🤍

Until next time, let’s keep bleeding Dodger blue. Let's go Dodgers!
